Hi Frank!

Thanks for the quick reply and the offer of a nice image for the new BBS.

I've looked at a couple of other BBS systems on the web but there is something I really don't think a dhammavinaya support site should have - advertising.

(There's advertising in other parts of my site but none at all where the dhamma is even referenced in passing)

I did find the Tipitaka link on your blog role just after I posted my previous comment. Surprise! It's you doing the work.

If you want to take this discussion into my BBS I have some technology that you might find helpful (java applet that does Pali transliteration, C# stuff that does the same, I'm working on a Pali/multilingual browser with neat features for Pali language students - nothing production quality but tons of stuff I want to get out the door). As a programmer you might find some good stuff that you can plug in an use right away.

By the way, I can set up forum(s) for your software stuff if you think it would help.

Anyway, you have my email address and my BBS address. Let me know if and what makes sense for you.

peace from

P.S. You will be interested in the "C.S. Tipitaka Blog" link in the Blogroll. For the last 6 months I have been writing software for a new version of the CSCD, renamed CST (Chattha Sangayana Tipitaka 4.0) since it is for download rather than on a CD. Enjoy!

Hi Andy,
We have lots of great Buddha images from our travels in the last year. I will go through our pictures and post some good ones on my Flickr account. Stay tuned...

Hi;

I've noticed that you have some great pages for Pali scattered on the web. Today, I started an experiment. I've set up an entire bulletin board system just for the Pali language to try and make it easier for everybody to find stuff and communicate.

I need a nice Buddha image that I can put on the bulletin board in the upper right-hand corner. Looking for an image is how I ended up on your blog today. Do you have an image that I could use?

Thanks for all your support of the Pali language!
